Download formats

Introduction

You can down load files from this website in a variety of formats. This page explains the various formats:

Zip archives

Documents are stored as Zip archives.

This is the most practical way to make documents available to downloading. This is because of bandwidth and internet access problems experienced in this country.

 Zip Archives:

  • compress the files and save time in downloading
  • keep the file in the original format (mostly MS Word documents)
  • allow multiple related files to be stored as one archive (you download only one file).
  1. Click on the link to the Zip archive.
  2. When your browser asks what you want to to do with the file, select Save to disk.
  3. Give it a file name and navigate to an appropriate directory (where you can find it again) and select save.
  4. From the My Computer icon on your desktop navigate to the folder where you saved the Zip file
  5. Use WinZip or an equivalent programme to open the archive.
